Founded and managed by the St. Thomas Educational and Medical Society, Etawah, St. Francis Academy is an unaided Catholic Christian educational institution, inspired by the teachings of St. Francis of Assisi a saint known for his simplicity, humility, and deep love for all of God’s creation. However, true to the inclusive spirit of education and humanity, our doors are open to children from all religions, communities, and social backgrounds.

Our Beginning A Dream Born in Faith and Service
The story of St. Francis Academy began in 2006, rooted in a vision of service and a deep sense of responsibility to the community. At that time, the people of Anepur and the surrounding regions longed for a quality educational institution that could provide both academic excellence and moral formation. Responding to their heartfelt requests, the St. Thomas Educational and Medical Society decided to plant the seed of faith and learning in this soil.
Under the guidance and initiative of Rev. Fr. Raju Francis Koipally, and with the support of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart Congregation, Changanasserry, the school was established in a small rented building. What began as a humble effort soon blossomed into a thriving institution of learning and service.
In 2007, the school was moved to its present, more spacious campus a serene environment designed to promote peace, discipline, and a love for learning. By 2012, the school earned its affiliation with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, marking a significant milestone in its journey. Two years later, in January 2014, the academy proudly achieved Senior Secondary status, becoming a full fledged educational institution that could cater to students up to Class XII.
From its modest beginnings, St. Francis Academy has grown into a dynamic community of learners and educators, guided by the light of truth and compassion.
