The Humble Beginning of Carmel High School, Gadchiroli
Every great institution has a modest beginning, and Carmel High School is no exception. The school was established on 13th June 1992 with a strong determination to serve the educational needs of children in and around Gadchiroli.
Initially, the school functioned in three small rented rooms located on Armori Road, Gadchiroli. Despite limited infrastructure and resources, the management, teachers, and parents shared a common dream to create a learning environment rooted in discipline, values, and academic excellence.
As word spread about the school’s commitment and quality education, the number of students steadily increased. To accommodate this growing strength, the school was shifted to another temporary location on Dhanora Road within the same academic year. This phase was challenging, yet it marked the school’s determination to grow and serve better.
Government Recognition and Academic Stability
A major milestone in the journey of Carmel High School came during the academic year 1993,1994, when the Primary Section received official permission from the Government of Maharashtra. This recognition was a significant achievement and a testament to the school’s standards and credibility.
Subsequently, the school was recognized by the Zilla Parishad, Gadchiroli, which further strengthened its academic foundation. This approval enabled the institution to function smoothly, follow structured educational guidelines, and provide quality education to students from diverse backgrounds.
Establishment of the Permanent Campus
After successfully completing the academic year 1994,1995, Carmel High School was blessed with a permanent home. From the academic year 1995,1996, the school began functioning in its own new premises, marking a new chapter of growth and stability.
The establishment of a permanent campus not only improved infrastructure but also created a more secure, organized, and inspiring learning environment for students and teachers alike. It symbolized the fulfillment of a dream that had begun in small rented rooms and grew through faith, effort, and perseverance.
