The Beginning of a Remarkable Educational Journey
The foundation of St. Paul H.S. School dates back to 1956 when it was started as the boys’ section of St. Raphael’s H.S. School near Sat Prachar Press. During its early years, the institution functioned with a vision to provide disciplined and value based education to young learners.
The school began under the leadership of Sr. Ann, who served as the Principal, while Fr. J. Partch took charge as the incharge authority. Their dedication and educational vision laid the groundwork for what would later become one of the most respected schools in the region.
The institution started with a small number of students, limited resources, and a strong determination to provide quality learning opportunities. Over time, the school earned recognition because of its disciplined environment, academic standards, and commitment to student development.
In 1962, the first batch of students appeared for the H.S.S.C. Examination, marking an important milestone in the school’s educational journey. This achievement symbolized the school’s growing academic strength and its commitment to excellence.
Establishing a Unique Identity
A major turning point came in 1963 when Fr. Wilhelm J. Lenzen was appointed as the first Principal of the institution. Under his leadership, the boys’ section was officially separated from St. Raphael’s H.S. School and received its own recognition, identity, and name as St. Paul H.S. School.
This transformation was not merely administrative; it represented the beginning of an independent educational institution with its own vision, values, and educational philosophy.
