AIIMS Rajkot falls under Phase VI of PMSSY, which focuses on the development of new AIIMS institutions across underserved regions of the country. The hospital is designed as a 750 bed facility, encompassing multiple specialty and superspecialty departments. From cardiology and neurology to oncology and advanced surgical care, AIIMS Rajkot will provide a full spectrum of medical services. The hospital infrastructure is meticulously planned to include:

The total project cost is estimated at approximately Rs. 1195 Crores, which includes Rs. 185 Crores dedicated to high end medical equipment. Land and Government Support
To support this transformative initiative, the Government of Gujarat has allocated approximately 201 acres of land for the AIIMS Rajkot campus. This expansive area allows for a comprehensive medical complex with separate zones for hospital services, residential facilities for staff and students, research centers, and wellness parks.
In addition, the state government is providing crucial infrastructure support, including the development of access roads, reliable water supply, and electricity connections, ensuring seamless functionality and accessibility for both patients and medical staff.
