The Visionary Behind the Movement
The foundation of Shishuvihar Institute was laid by Late Shri Maan Bhai Bhatt, a visionary who believed that education and social awareness could transform society. During a time when India was striving for independence and social reform, he recognized the urgent need to provide opportunities for learning and empowerment to those who were often overlooked.
The institution was originally established as “Swaraj ni Shala,” meaning the School of Independence. The name itself symbolized the spirit of freedom not only political freedom but also freedom from ignorance, poverty, and inequality.
Shri Maan Bhai Bhatt believed that when children are educated and women are empowered, entire communities progress. His vision went beyond the classroom, focusing on building individuals who could contribute positively to society.
