Despite these academic accomplishments, what truly transformed him was not a corporate boardroom but a classroom under the Teach For India banner. As a Teach For India Fellow in Pune, he experienced education from the grassroots: the challenges faced by under resourced schools, the inequalities that dictated young lives, and the untapped brilliance hiding behind socio economic barriers. This fellowship did more than inspire him it gave him a lifelong mission:
to dedicate his life to ensuring that education becomes a tool of equity, not privilege.
A Life Changing Decision: Leaving Corporate Comfort
In 2006, standing at a familiar crossroads that many professionals encounter but few courageously cross, Mr. Chaudhury made a choice that defined his future.
He left behind a promising corporate career and returned to his hometown, Bongaigaon. This decision was driven not by convenience but by conviction a conviction that if change was to be meaningful, it had to be built where it was needed most. Assam’s interior regions lacked quality educational infrastructure, and he envisioned creating institutions that could redefine childhood learning at its core.
The Birth of Reiyukai Trust
Back home, fueled by strong belief and a compassion-driven philosophy, he founded the Reiyukai Trust. The guiding principle of the trust was simple yet profound:
