The Islamic Research & Propagation Centre Library (IRPC) is a non profit public organization that began its journey in January 2013 in Giridih, Jharkhand, India. From its very foundation, the institution was envisioned as more than just a library. It was designed as a center of learning, dialogue, research, and community service with a clear mission: to present Islam in its true spirit, to help people understand its teachings correctly, and to remove misunderstandings and misconceptions that often arise due to lack of knowledge or misinformation.
About The Islamic Research & Propagation Centre Library (IRPC) Library, Giridih, Jharkhand
Over the years, IRPC has grown into a meaningful platform that serves both Muslims and non Muslims. It functions as a bridge between knowledge and people, between tradition and modern understanding, and between communities that may not always have access to authentic information about Islam. Its core philosophy is rooted in education, peaceful engagement, and intellectual clarity.
A Vision Rooted in Knowledge and Understanding
The establishment of IRPC in Giridih was not accidental. Giridih, like many regions, has a diverse population with varying levels of religious awareness. In many cases, people rely on incomplete or incorrect sources of information, especially when it comes to religion. This gap often leads to confusion, stereotypes, and unnecessary misunderstandings.
IRPC was created to address this gap through structured knowledge dissemination. The founders believed that education is the strongest tool to remove prejudice. Instead of debates or confrontation, they chose books, research, discussions, and community learning as the primary tools of engagement.
The library was envisioned as a space where people could come freely, explore authentic Islamic teachings, ask questions without hesitation, and develop a balanced understanding based on facts rather than assumptions.
The Core Purpose of IRPC
At its heart, IRPC operates with three fundamental objectives:
Proper Presentation of Islam
The organization aims to present Islam in its original, peaceful, and comprehensive form. This includes highlighting its teachings on compassion, justice, ethics, family values, social responsibility, and spirituality.
Clear Understanding of Islamic Principles
Many misconceptions arise due to partial knowledge. IRPC works to ensure that individuals whether Muslim or non Muslim gain access to accurate interpretations of Islamic teachings through authentic literature and scholarly resources.
Removal of Misconceptions
One of the biggest challenges faced by communities today is misinformation. IRPC actively works to address misunderstandings about Islam through education, discussions, and carefully curated reading materials.
A Library Beyond Books
Although it is called a library, IRPC is much more than a collection of books. It is a living institution that engages with people in multiple ways. It serves as:
A research center for students and scholars
A learning hub for curious individuals
A guidance platform for community members
A resource center for comparative religious understanding
The library houses a wide range of Islamic literature including classical texts, modern research works, translations of the Quran, Hadith collections, biographies of prophets, and writings on Islamic jurisprudence, ethics, and history. It also includes books that focus on interfaith dialogue and comparative religion, allowing readers to explore different perspectives in an informed manner.
